Ohana means family.
And family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.
About Yassin, Ohana's founder

Yassin Elbahraoui - Founder & Head Coach of Ohana Surf Morocco
" Starting Ohana Surf Morocco has been a dream come true for me! When I was working as a surf instructor, I always made new friends in the water, had a blast with everyone, and it was always tough to say goodbye when people left the surf camp. That’s when the idea of Ohana Surf Morocco was born. "Ohana" means family, and I love working in a group. Being part of a family makes everything more enjoyable and fun.
Life is all about taking chances, right? So about six years ago, I decided to give it a shot. If it worked, awesome! If not, I'd find another adventure. But guess what? It worked out great! Ohana Surf Morocco is more than just a business; now it’s a family.
What makes me happiest is seeing people learn to surf. It was really tough for me to learn over 12 years ago. Surfing wasn't as accessible in Morocco back then—there was no equipment, no one to help. Surfing taught me patience and gave me a sense of freedom and calm. I wish everyone could try surfing because it's amazing for both your mind and body. The best part of my day is watching someone stand up on the board, ride a wave, and seeing the huge smile on their face. Their joy is my joy! "
